Today has been a horrible day all around. I blew a sale at work, which the boss didnt like. I try and make it better by going for a nice drive in my recently purchased 1997 A4 1.8TQ 5sp and my roomates 2000 A6 2.8Q to see a nice old fashion Drive-In movie. We watch Oceans 13 and I proceed to boost home when I start to feel a real bad hessitation from the engine and I see the beautiful check engine light flash. I wanted to cry. Then I try to call my roomate and I notice my new phone has also taken a poop. I hope someone can PLEASE help and make my car better. I dont have a vag-com... yet

 

go to autozone and have them scan for the fault code(s). Sorry about your luck.

 

Any chance it could be from the recent K&N filter?

 

UUmmm..... probably not, get those codes read, its probably a bad ICM causing a miss-fire or something like that.

 

if your k&n had a lot of oil on it then it would mess up the maf
