I might line the entire trunk with sound-dampening foam to decrease excess noise and vibrations. My buddy had a sound competition build, and he decided to line it with foam. From the outside it sounded really quiet, hardly any excess thump... definitely not enough to **** you off at a stoplight, but inside, it was off the chain.
Edit: Also, there's no logic in talking about what'll add weight for an A4... they're already elephants

No, she doesn't know I drive an Audi yet. I'm not saying the entirity of her attraction to me resides in what kind of sound system I have, I'm just saying it's a legitimate expense. They're both getting installed within 3 weeks of Friday, so it's not like it's one OR the other.

ok, so you know she likes you...... and you know your stereo is wack..... and you know your car is slow, like we all do
like i said tunning actually gives you better gas mileage, do that first then stereo, jmo

umm systems definitely aren't gay Flip. personally i would get the chip first cuz i like speed more but i would also hate going back to my stock sound system.
actually you are wrong. the tunes definitely can make her wet. the reason why i put that in my sig is cause there have been a few girls in my backseat who have told me my bass made them wet. ever seen howard stern's movie? kinda like that. and two even got horny enough to decide to want to hook up...sure they may have been little skuts but hey dome is dome

i found bose speakers on ebay and replaced 2 of mine and it sounds great again, you should look into that before thinking about doing a complete system.
good choice on deciding to go with the chip first!
