what r u using it for? A radar detector? If it possible u can hard wire it that will work.

I think a stereo shop would be able to say how to do it or do it for u.

Of course you can do it. The cig lighter wire runs to one of the permanently powered posts behind the knee bolster. You just need to move it to the 75x power post that has ignition power only.

in the pic below - the cig lighter wire runs from one of the 30 posts.

apg, it's already hard-wired...he wants it to shut off with the car...just do what brrman and i said.

i thought when u hard wire it it will go off with the car? I guess it depends where u hard wire it from. I saw the one with teh V1 in the sunroof switch.

Thanks brrman, that's good info...but is there anyway to tell which is which and what to do...I feel confident in being able to do it...just need some guidance...maybe I'll hop in the car and get a picture myself to figure it all out...

On a sidenote...has anyone noticed that if you post on the weekends you almost never get a lot of quality responses but when you bust a question out during the week you get a dozen in a few hours...

yea i have noticed that too. They are dead on the weekends. I think cause everyone has a car to be working on.

during the week I sit at my desk and browse the forums on and off all day. During the weekend it's off to the shore or tiki bar to drink myself into oblivion, and pass out on a beach chair.
