Default possible blown transmission

today I was driving behind this dam lady that was driving 20mph in a 40mph street, so while I was in third gear about 5 thousand rpm I threw it in 2nd gear and I shot around her and the tranny made all kind of noises and it was hard to put car into any gear and the third would not engage at all, so I parked the car immediatly and drove it about 30 mins lator to see what will happen and now I can hear something rattleling arround in the transmission and I can now put the car into gear with no problem but the rattleling noise is the only problem, so I had it towed to the transmission shop who installed the stage two clutch and his crew test drove it and said the transmmision is shot but he will test it personally tommorow to see whats really going on, I'm so pissed right now[:@] I hope it's just something simple and not too expensive but it doesn't sound like it, I think I maybe blew a gear but not sure I'll find out tommorow. Any inputs on this I hope this wasn't because of the stage two clutch

I only have heard of two other ppl blowing transmissions, and they both launch the car regularly at 7000rpm. However I don't know what else could make that noise. Keep us posted and good luck

if you get your tranny replaced go with the 2.8's tranny, i don't think it's much more than the 1.8T and i think it's alot stronger as well..

Hmm are you going to sell it for the bb - the price to fix? You know you could pick up a trans for about 800 and diy in about 5 hrs
