Default Possible A/C Problem?

First off, I'm new to the forums and I apologize if I am posting this in the wrong section.

I recently picked up a 1997 A4 5spd 2.8 Quattro and I am in love with it! However, today I was driving with my brother and when I made a left turn, my brother felt some kind of liquid drip on his leg. When he/I looked down, we saw more liquid/water(not really sure what it was) drip/run down onto the carpet. Heres a picture of basically what happened:

The blue is where the liquid ran. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Check your coolant level, it might be your heater core leaking.

Thanks for the reply. I got under my hood and had some trouble locating the "g-12 reservoir". I just went ahead and checked all the fluids I could find and they all apeared to be ok. I havent had any issues with the a/c since the one I posted about but I'd just like to be sure.

The liquid was clear, like water. How might I go about checking the heater core?
