bc they dont work as well as an mbc. they dont stick they dont cause crazy boost spikes or surging like a mbc does. all around a ebc is the way to go when dealing with that kind of power

they've used both and have proven that it makes little to no difference.

again, if you don't know about them, read up on them.

here's a fun post about them (not too informative but still.. go to evolutionm.net for better stuff) from a while ago: https://www.audiforums.com/m_168230/tm.htm

Just got off the phone with Arif, the duct tape fell off the IC, leaving a gapping hole i guess. Hes working on a "plug" for it and also trying to eliminate some exhaust rattle... He hasnt started it back up yet, but would the hole in the IC make him run rich if it wasnt plugged?

hmm i dont know if that would be causing the rich condition but definately the low power situation!!!

is it rich under idle or load?

in laymen's terms, the readings would be all off..

the maf sees a certain amount of air flow and tells the computer to send a certain amount of fuel through.. but, obviously, since the reading is too much compared to reality.. a rich condition is the result.

Well ****, if hes running anything like Arif was refering to when we were getting on 315N the other day now that its plugged.. All I have to say is HOLY ****!! That thing pulled soooo hard, but it was only for a couple secs... I know that we experienced 250hp+ at that time. I was taking a video then but when the turbo spooled up it made me accidently hit the rec. button again and it killed the video. It went like this...
1. Stop light
2. Press record
3. Green light
4. Hits gas
5. I say "Holy Sh.."
6. Camera stops recording.

Too bad...
