Default Prime new K03?

I was reading on here that you need to prime new turbos. Anyone mind to explain this?

Thanks,
Ronnie

Install everything as usual, pull your fuel pump fuse out of your fuse panel, so that the car is not getting any gas, and try to crank the car for about two minutes, but only in 7-8 second intervals, with 20-30 seconds in between them. You don't want to burn up the starter. This allows oil to circulate through the turbo so you don't have a dry startup.

However, on a k03, I don't know if you have to do it or not. I know you do on bb turbos, but traditional journals I don't think you do. But, better to be safe than sorry.

It would be best to disconnect your ecu and crank a few times to prime it. Just because you take out the fuel pump fuse doesnt mean it wont fire up the first couple times. At least when you disconnect the ecu it wont get any spark and will therfore have no chance of firing up, which is exactly what you are trying to keep it from doing.

Disconnect the ECU, injector plugs, and coilpack connections.
