Ok, so i got my timing belt and serviced my car. also new downpipe. recently i hit a bump and i thought i bent my exhaust and the air flow was restricted (due to something glowing cherry red in my engine and a burning smell) so i got it back, drove it a bit, and same thing....this time i took pictures. can anyone tell me what this is and why it was glowing HOT......

manifold/turbo being glowing red is a normal thing

 

GAh my work computer has the shittiest resolution and picture quality.

 

so the burning like smell has nothing to do with this then

 

it deff looks like your cat

 

The oil smell could be a torn oil line check to see under your car or on the belly pan if theres any drops of oil somewhere.
