problems need answers
okay everybody, I just bought a 98 A4 2.8 quattro, i know i know the 1.8T is better, but i love the feel of the V6, im not really here to tune it up, but to drive in class. anyway, i bought it with 100,000 miles on it and I drove it home on the highway for about 25 minutes. when i exited the highway and came to a stop. car was still on. but as i put it in 1st gear and let off the clutch to move forward the car did not move and stalled. i thought i stalled bcuz of my shifting, so i tried to turn it back on and still no respond. so i kept trying and trying but still no where yet. So my dad called our mechanic guy and he said its an electrical problem. I thought it was prolly the fuel pump or the fact that the OIL light keeps blinking when you turn on the car. even thought the oil was changed 500 miles ago. so my two questions are. what could be the reason for the car turning off and not wanting to start back up after riding hard on the freeway? what electrical part is it> and how much?
