Default Projector headlights?

My B7 beast came with projector headlights? Whats the difference between regular headlights and projector? I didnt get the xenon package because I didnt want to pay the extra money, even though the halogens seem a lot whiter than regular halogens in my opinion.

xenons are brighter and take less electristy to work so they are better and more efficant that halogens and projectors focuses the light

If you didn't order the lighting package, then your car came with reflectors not projectors. The difference is the xenon projectors move up/down and left/right when you turn the car. Also xenon light is much whiter and more like daylight.

No they are identical when turned off. On the B7's they are different headlights alltogether. Non-Xenon are not projectors.

Crazy, is there an option code? I'm 99% sure I have xenons, they are damned blue. also, when I turn them on, they look crazy... ___/---- sort-of. And when the guy sold me the car, he said it was xenons... i'm just second guessing everything, since I found out they look identical.

Is there a place to see the option codes for varying years for our cars?

just pull the back of the headlights off. You'll either see a wire goign to a bulb, or you'll see an ignitor pack and other misc parts you've never seen before. Take a pic if you can.

Hmm, I'm pretty lazy... the option code is definately more my style :P Maybe I'll take a gander. I have to take my CD changer out sometime... I hate school/work.

I felt around behind my stock CD changer... will it have the same plug as a 2000ish audi without the changer -- thats prewired? (mine's a 2000, and came with the stock changer)... anyways, I figured I could take mine out, and plug it into a pre-wired car... but in feeling around behind it, I never felt anything that felt like a big plug. Will have to see once it's out I guess. I hope it has a regular plug, cause I need to plug it into my parents golf or 02 a4, to get my damned cd's out!

If you go to audiusa.com it says standard on the A4 is projector headlights, not reflectors.

do your lights look like this:

Reflector:

or this:

Projector:

That would be kinda strange if you have projectors without the lighting package.
