all you need to do is make a bracet that will go in front of the ps2 so it will not slide out while you have the glove box open, nothing to mount to it or it to the box, just one on each of the front 2 corners that can keep it snug up against the back of the box

 

lol, oh man, this is like a bad episode of Unique Whips.

 

If you had a B6 it would be cake.. dont remember how the glovebox in the B5's look.. but the B6 it will fit right on that little shelf.. cut out the backside if it.. and drop the glovebox out to put some strong adhesive along the outerside of the top of the glovebox and the PS2 where it sticks out the back.. it wont slide around at all.. in fact damn hard to remove the PS2 but very possible
