You would need a DC to AC converter (12 volts in, 110 household current out)

but isnt that the thing that would go into the power outlet like for your cell phone? all the PS2's i see hooked up dont use that power source..

You have to hardwire it to a different 12v source, best bet would be the battery.

no, thats not the same thing a cell phone goes into... its a converter that plugs into that and the other side looks like a wall outlet...

i know what the converter is, thats not how i want to do it. but how would i hard wire it to the battery? do i like cut the cable off the end of the PS2 power wire plug, or do i buy something special

no you dont cut the PS2 power cord.. just get a converter mount it somwhere and re route the switch so it sits down from the top of the glove box on the inside.. that way you dont drain your battery when your car is off..

i dont quite understand... do you mean, still have the DC converter, just dont plug it in. wire it behing, hidden somewhere? i dont quite understand, can you elaborate?

+1 why would you put a game system in your car! It's an Audi ment for driving. Get a Civic or something if you want to sit around and play video games.

yeah why does your audi have spray painted seats??? suppose to be black idk how yours are grey, j/k if i was getting a ps2 to mount in my car i would just throw it in my living room, seriously i like games and all but having it in a car could be overkill, just mount it under the seat if they are manual ones, other than that i would make a nice plastic trim piece, i would get soem interior panels from a civic or something blakc to cut something out of, anyway my 2 cents, work sucks
