haha thx for the compliments on the house. we just mved in, i love it too.. except for the location of the damn garage =[
anyways, i wouldnt want to fix it myself b/c i'm a perfectionist, and on something like that i would never be happy with my results. sp33d07, was that $700 for just the paint? if not do you know how much the paint segment of the job cost?

here's my plan as of now. after i get settled into the new house and get a job and get started at my new school, i'll buy a stock front bumper (i honestly really like the stock bumper on my 2000 b5), but also buy a sportier looking lower trim piece for the front, which you can buy on ebay for $145 prepped for paint. that's a combined cost of under $300 after shipping. i'll go ahead and paint the bumper and lower front trim, and ALL my lowers while i'm at it. which altogether is a close second to getting a bodykit. I'm expecting that'll cost around $800 for paint.

but thats what i wanted to ask you guys. how much will it cost to paint the front bumper and lowers? is this along the right lines? and also, can you link me to some sleek and inexpensive bodykits if you know of any?

plz, if you know paint pricing or have experience with it, reply.

I talked to my body guy, if i walked in w/ a front bumper in my hot little hands, he would paint it up for $200, w/ flex in the paint and looking perfect. As far as the lowers, that would require a little prep work, so he didn't know of hand.

I'd say 150-300 for paint, depending on the quality of the shop and if you want them to mount it etc. As far as blending it with the hood and fenders, there shouldnt be a need to do that, as the bumper is a diff panel completely and well below eye level, so any slight mismatch in color would be dismissed as shadowing by 99.999% of people. They tend to only blend the paint to adjoining panels when the repair is large enough or goes over 2 panels.
