Quattro Tire Question ?
I was doing abit of reading, I cam across something very intresting
On a Q system you have to run the same size tires @ all 4, 16" 17" 18"
I have noticed that some people run the same size tire but with diff Width sizes ...
Front 235/35/19 Rear 245/35/19 for example
The total overall diameter of this tires are and not the same ???
235 been 25.5" and 245 been 25.8"
So in 1 Km the 235 will have 508 Revs
245 will have 502 Revs
Wont this affect the Q system as well as speed calibration as well as ABS operation ?

RE: Quattro Tire Question ?
Yeah, stay away from different diameters... I dont know what the options are though... you might be able to use like a 17 up front, and 18 in the rear... if you had like 235/45/17's up front, and a 225/40/18 in the rear... but it's sort of stupid. Staggered diameters only look good when the overall diameter is different (think corvette).
Umm, as for the different widths... you can get around that sometimes, by changing the profile... like a 225/45/17 vs a 235/40/17... I'm sure you are able to end up with an identical tire diameter... or within a .1 of an inch (which would likely be acceptable -- because different tread wear is acceptable).

RE: Quattro Tire Question ?
Nah Dont worry im not planning on puttinf Staggerd Rims on my car
Its just i work at a Firestone Dealer and I was reading the new Fuzion.ZRi
that came out the first half on this year and the same size tire
but with a Difference in Width can make a Huge diffrence in the turning
radius of the tire
And if you change the profile of the tire say with a 35, 40 profile
you will affect axle wind up in ur Q system
