Just a little info... the audi quattro has power delivery from front to rear 50/50 with most normal driving, if needed can compinsate and send up to 62% of the power to one wheel if needed. Pretty smart car huh....

well who do you think would win in a race of say a quarter mile a g2 on an A4 2.8 Fwd or a 2.8 quattro? If everything was stock on both besides the g2
I'd like to see that race. My guess is the quattro would win by a nose. No wheelspin off the line means a slightly better start. No doubt which one would win around a track...From what I've read on SCaudi.com the G2 makes around 260whp, so thats 30 horses lost to the quattro drivetrain. Personally for 5 grand thats not enough power to the wheels.
No way a g2 puts down 260 awhp. More like about 220 awhp.

^^^^Go to SCaudi.com and search for dyno results. A supercharger adds more than 30hp.

Just to get a bit back on topic, your decision on FWD or AWD really comes down to what you will be doing. If you are going to upgrade and drag or autocross, defanitly go with AWD. With many mods, front wheel drive has trouble getting power to the line. If you are looking for a normal daily driver with maby a chip but no real big mods, and you arnt going to be doing any sort of racing, go with FWD

Tho, i personally would never own a FWD car (no offence anyone who has FWD, i just despize the way they handle and perform)

yea i have a quattro and i am happy with it. However I am wondering if it is worth it to put a G2 on my car which is a quattro or just be satisfied with what I have.

what is the difference between whp and hp?
HP is measured at the crankshaft, thats what the manufacturer states. Whp is measured at the wheels, hence the W. Power is lost in the drivetrain due to factors like friction, weight, and gear ratio. Your engine puts out 190hp but you only get around 150, (guesstimated), at the wheels.
