Default Is quattro worth the money?

Hello all. I'm thinking of buying either a new or CPO B7 and I'm wondering if the quattro is worth the money. I own a B5.5 (2003, V6, GLXwithout the 4-Motion) and love it more than any other car I've owned andI'm familiar with the service required, cost of parts etc. What are the true benefits vs. a B7 without it? Thanks in advance!

depends...you lose more power via drivetrain loss w/ the quattro..but the handling is amazing...

it really just depends on what you want...test drive both and make a decision on that

whatever you do...dont get automatic+quattro...that setup is a DOOOG

For as much crap as people give the FWD A4, I have no complaints about mine. I have had loaners from the dealership with quattro, and as much fun as it is I have no regrets buying mine without it. Unless you live in the mid-west or east coast where the weather gets bad in the winter, its a personal taste whether to get it or not. I live in Texas, where it is still 85 degrees and sunnyin November and we may have 1 day of lightsleet/snow, so having AWD is not a necessity.

I agree, test drive both to see whichone you like better.

pros- better handling and control, especially in rain/snow
cons- lots more things cost more than they should, and slighty more drivetrain loss
