Question for the BT guys
Last time i checked, a4's ran a 1.8t and they are all pretty much the same except the AEB which is DBC and big port.

haha, maybe you should stick to modding your 12v
I'd like to see such a thing
the GTRS and 71r eliminator turbo's are bassed off of the full GT28RS and GT2871r. from what i have seen, 400Bhp is easily acheivable on both of the elims. that's about the power you're going to get out of a full GT28RS. but with the full GT2871r, up to 450Bhp is attainable
the only problem with the eliminators are that they use the stock 3 bolt BorgWarner style housings. which will hurt spool time slightly and power output..
what isn't wrong with the elims, is that it is a cheaper alternative to the full turbo's. your engine bay will stay looking OEM. and they have been proven to work many, many times.
just look at all the fastest A4 1.8t cars in the 1/4 mile.. 90 percent of them are eliminator turbo's
here's the 1/4 mile database for just the B6 A4s, the only ones one there that aren't elminator turbo's are the APR and GIAC software cars. everything else, are elims----->http://www.mjbmotorsport.com/sitebui...medatabase.htm

obviously this isnt directed to me, but its not common to have 350 on an elim, i;ve been looking around alot at bt setups, and if you are serious about it go with the gt28rs, elim is like halfassin it. and with the gt28rs you will deffinetly get 350+ with the supporting mods. dont think your guna get that with the elim..safely.
Theres several posts on this, give a search on bt, of gt28rs. the 28rs kit will run you around 2400 without fmic and tuning.

Cincy- can't you run up to 350 hp with an elim? Why dont you consider that a real turbo?

and i dont have a 2.8 [8D]. i should change my sig.

first off:
the first two, aren't even turbo's that compare to the 28 variant's that we have been talking about. so i don't know where you are getting the idea that those are even somewhat on topic..
the first one isn't even proven with a timeslip as Gavin has yet to post up a slip or video.. also Gavin has also claimed to run in the 10s with his GT35r
and the third one, IS AN ELIMINATOR! his name is Brandon. good buddy of mine on the forums. haven't seen him in a while though since he got a bullet bike.. but he has a 71r eliminator with ak04 Hammer file tweaked by Mike at Vast Performance.. his rev limiter is only 6800rpms btw
here, i dug up his thread just to show you------->http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=131271
that all ya got? haha jk
butno,i don't love them. i was just simply trying to prove that the elims are not peices of crap..
they have their purposes, and have been proven MANY times on the A4. that is all..
are there better turbo's out there? yes, but if you want a 12 second, completely stock looking(depending on what you do to the exterior) A4 with 400Bhp, then the elims are a great solution..
as proven by Brandon, here is his 12 second 400Bhp 71r eliminator A4

if he painted the fmic black, that would be very stealth.
I also hate the elims more because i am more familure with all the people b!tching in every thread about them how crappythey fit, and low numbers compared to a simular gt28rs kit. The longitude housing is much nicer than a transverse housing, which also makes a bigger differnce. The dynos you showed were a little nicer, but if you were to see a transverse dynos of a gtrs and making 280whp at 24psi with everything and not making full boost until 4k, you would understand more where im coming from.

right, i would understand that. but i would if we were in a TT forum or mk4 GTI/Jetta forum.. i was just simply trying to stay on point of A4s
but i do agree that ATP(Another Terrible Product) does have some pretty big quality control problems on their products.. but i also think that the main reason that ATP elim defects/failurs/fitment issues are mainly due to the fact that 70%(guessing here) of the BT setups on A4s are eliminators.. the smaller portion of that percentage are people with homebrew setups like me, or have a finely tuned APR stage 3/3+ kit
