Default question on HID lights + headlight switch

Good morning all. I ordered a new headlight switch to replace my failed one. One question i do have is; I plan on buying an hid kit for my low beams but am concerned that the higher voltage might fry the headlight switch. Should I be concerned?
I'll wire them to a relay to and use my headlight switch as the trigger to activate the relay

plus, ive also searched and couldnt find an answer to my question. Since this is my first audi i figure i'd seek for the answer from the audi experts

I was just in miami a few weeks ago and remember seeing an audi just like yours while I was driving to my parents other house. I remember cause my friends nickname is RAFA..what a coincedence. Nice ride btw!

I bought a new headlight switch and cant deal with these haolgen bulbs. First thing i did when i bought my 02 accord was put HID low beams and fogs and Im dying right now with regular halogen bulbs ( when they were working )This is one thing i really want to replace since I drive a lot in Pennsylvania, indianapolis and down to miami. That extra light output is definitely worth it. Just dont want the switch dying out on me while in transit.
