Default Question regarding Forge Diverter / BOV valves

I am considering getting the ECU upgrade from APR for my new A4 2.0T Quattro. (B7)

Since I have seen a ton of talk lately about DV's for the 1.8T engines, I was curious if there is any need to change the stock set-up for my 2.0T after I upgrade the ECU.

These are the 2 pieces that I am referring to: CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS.

Are either of them going to add any noticeable benefit? (Other than the cool whoosh. of course.....)

Thanks!

Many ppl will tell you that bov's are bad for Audi's, but those valves are specifically designed for the 2.0T engine so I wouldn't worry about it. If you want the bov sound I would get the "swithchable" one so some of the air is still recirculated, and not completely blown off.

OK, just to make it more interesting, keep in mind that it's a lease.....

Should I just stick with the switchable ECU software and leave the BOV and DV's alone?

Get the switchable software so when you bring the car in for oil changes you can change it back to "stock" HP/TQ.

As for the BOV and DV, listen to flyinb501 - just look at his signature with mods. They may be able to tell you upgraded the DV tho when they get under your car. Maybe you should ask your dealership and say you are thinking of changing the DV, will they still honor your warranty - will this terminate the lease etc etc.

Trust me.....I have read up on all of them.
It simply comes down to a matter of installation, stealth, convenience, closest shop, and performance numbers.

I would imagine the GIAC vs APR argument falls into the Pepsi vs Coke, Microsoft vs Apple, McDonalds vs Burger King, etc, etc, etc.

All have their upside, it just usually comes down to preference. APR, Coke, Microsoft, and Burger King for anyone keeping track.

(Although - NeuSpeed and their claims of 257HP/308Torque at a price of $450 is quite appealing to me for my B7 2.0T Quattro)

****Also, please keep in mind that I am only going to ever be running 91 octane gas, as I am in California. This is one of the factors towards my decision process.

I read recently that the DV on the 2.0t is very integrated into the boost lines and you cant change it out with something different easily. The stock one will hold fine from what i know.
