Question and Response to all those DV questions...
hey guys......
I know theres tons of threads containing dv...bpv...bov questions and comments....and Ive looked at nearly all of them....but
I just wanted to clear something up....
The 710N dv valve on ecs tuning is a oem replacement for the dv that comes stock right?
The reason I ask is becuase I have been told that these are stock for 2000 and above so when I chip I should be fine and not in need to buy a 710N b/c that is what I have....
Please correct me if I am misinformed....thanks guys as always

I think you'll find that the 710N is not stock on the A4. I believe it is stock on the TT. The A4 DV part number ends with 710, but not 710N. I have a 2001 A4 and just replaced the DV myself. The one I took off was a plain 710, not a 710N. Hope this helps.
Well actually, I'm pretty sure that the 710N does come stock on A4's after a certain model year. Not sure which year that is though..I think the 710N is stock on all B6/8E's.
Main difference:
710 rated for roughly 8psi
710N rated for roughly 18psi
If you get a chip you must upgrade your DV to a 710N or better DV if you don't already have a 710N. The 710 may work for a little while but it will fail..probably within a month or so.

As far as I know, the only way to check easily is to get under the car with a flashlight and compare numbers. It might be hard to see, but the number is stamped on the side of the DV
