1st off i have a 96 2.8 audi a4 and i was wondering if the check enigne light is on does it put my car into a decrease in performance mode. 2nd). if it doesnt would there be any reason why when i push on the gas i feel like im not going any where its like the RMP goes up but there is no power being put to teh wheels. let me know what you think.

 

put two and two together... maybe your CEL is trying to tell you something is wrong with your car.. and something wrong with your car is why it runs like crap.. go get it checked out and fixed before you do more damage

 

sorry i should of posted what the cell was its a Coolant temp senor that is out nothing major werid thing is audi replaced but yet it went out again and my car is not over heating so i know that there is no damage going on i was just wondering if a cell will drop your performance or maybe there is osmething else totally wrong with it

i have the wrx and i still have the audi. and i never said anything about see you in my reaerview go back and read it correctlly i said i want something that is AWD that has a better dollar per HP so i picked the wrx.

 

as you are going down the street about 30 mph put it in 5th gear and floor it. if your rpms go up faster than your speed than clutch is shot.
