Default Quick Help please.....

Just got my 02 A4 back from the body shop after 5k in damages to the drivers front corner. Just needed a bumper, fender, light and radiator mound.....and hood. However...in addition to the battery magically dying, I replaced it the day I got the car back, cuz it would not hold a charge. So got the new battery and the ESP light comes on, then goes away and thank god, it stayed off. So im driving today and now the AIR BAG light comes on for 2 min, then stays off for a min, then on for 5 min and off a min or a couple seconds, and on and off sparatically. Is this something with the battery or is this something with the repairs???? Any input would be helpful as I try to figure this out....ill be at the shop tomorrow when they open in the AM......thanks in advance, I searched and never found anything quiet like this.....

Default RE: Quick Help please.....

Usually the reason you get the light is because you disconnect the airbag and turn the key on, its highly advised that you disconnect the battery before performing any work on the airbags (ie disconnecting them) once the computer recognized that the airbag isnt there it trips the light on because the cars ECU thinks that there is a problem with them. If you disconnect the battery to try and ratify this problem, i would leave it disconnected for roughly 20-30 minutes. Just make sure you have your Radio Code before you do this.
