Default Quick question please.

I have a 1996 A4 and its a 2.8 v-6, does that mean its a quattro? they told me it was but i dont see a rear axle..... is there someway i can find out?

if you just bought it and its not Quattro I would sue the guy.. get your money back then kick the crap out of him seriously.. that would **** me off.. is there any badging on the car? under the rear badge that says 2.8 does it say Quattro? or on the front grill? or in the manual or anywhere?

It should also say quattro on your wood grain trim interior.

But yeah... if you don't have a center differential... that is a pretty good sign that you don't have it. :P

and that would suck IMO.. otherwise the 96 A4's are pretty worthless

He can also plug in his VIN number into audiusa.com's "my audi" section for all the car's options.

ohh thats a good one! cant think off the top of my head.. but does the title or registration say FWD or AWD? Im not sure on that though

if its not on the front grill or on a badge on the rear or on the wood grain interior. is there no rear differential?

this is for the passat but it will be very similar to the a4

under side of front wheel drive


under side of all wheel drive

step 2: sidestep left foot off clutch
step 3: do u here a scccccccccccrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaccccccccc hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, and white smoke? then it's fwd
If you hear nothing and take off or smoke the clutch, its awd

yeah thats only if you want to do it the easy/fun way.. i suggest doing that on test drives.. so the dealer cant lie to you anymore

Man guys it does not have any quattro badges.... The title does not give the drive train.... and quite frankly i am really pissed..... I dont wannt do a burn out becsaue i dont wanna kill the clutch...
