Ok so I just got a 2001 Audi, The interior dash and exterior all say S4 but when I went to insure it they said the vin didnt match an S4 it was an A4 so im not real sure whether its an a4 or s4. Its got the 2.8 V6. Handles f'in excellent. I have never driven anything but a chevy truck and a camaro but this car is great. I think it needs a bit of work but I knew when I bought it that it would. It is slow on takeoff and kindof sputters so im guessing it needs new plugs and wires possibly because the check engine light isnt flashing its just on. It may even need a new cat? Im not totally sure on this one but from my knowledge of working on other vehicles these are my guesses. I have never worked on a foreign car and have very little knowledge on them but im ready to learn. I read several threads before posting this but I havent come across anything that is exactly like this. It also has a slight backfire is what im gonna call it although it really isnt a backfire its just part of the sputter, any suggestions on what I should do. I plan on taking it to auto zone this weekend to get them to hook the computer up to it and see if they can tell me if this has anything to do with the check engine light being on.
