No luck with the search....what cylinder is clylinder number 2?

haha dammit, you got my hopes up.

 

Isn't the number cast right onto the block? If you get your face down in there on the 6 cylinder you can see that each cylinder is marked on the valve cover near where the spark plug goes in. The v6 is 1,2,3 and 4,5,6 going straight back toward the firewall. I would think on the I4 1 would be up by the radiator and then it goes 2,3,4 straight back to the firewall. Crap, I don't know for sure, I can only tell you to look on the block for the number.

 

Cylinder 1,2,3 are on the passenger's side, 4,5,6 are on the driver's side. Count upwards from the radiator to the firewall, So cylinder 2 is the middle one on the passenger's side.

 

[align=left]On B6 (assuming it's same on B5) 1.8t, you count back from front of car. Second one back from front.
