Default Radar detecters and jammers

Ok after months of doing a good job of avoiding it, I got my first ticket in the Audi, $140[:@], I've decided to get a detector or jammer. I'm very skeptical about these things so right now I'm doing the research to find out which ones actually work. Just wanna know what do you guys think and any suggestions on a particular model.

I have a valentine v1 and it works very well. Dont get a jammer, because the po-po will see that the gun is reading every car except yours so it will go after you anyway. and then you'll get busted for a jammer. valentines are amazing thats what i recommend.

hmmm...I see. But with the increasing use of lasers especially here on the east coast wouldn't a jammer be good also? I've been searching for just a little while but I came up with these...

I know its a bit dated but the V1 was the best and if caranddriver said it then its gotta be true.

Ha are you serious? If your doing the speed limit then you shouldn't be driving. I don't consider doing 70 in a 55 speeding. Doing 90+ in 55 now thats speeding.. "If your not gonna drive fast then whats the point" Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear.
