You can hardwire it into one of the fuses, so it comes on when you turn the car on. That's what I do with all mine. Do a search on the forum because this topic has come up a ton. The toughest part is running the wire behind the dash and even a cave man can do that. LOL. It's easy though.

I got it done but have no ideea how. The previously owner of the car did that but it should be simple since you must connect two wires to a power source. not the same opinion on the dash and all the stuff you must dissasembly to hide/cover the wires.

You can tuck the wires behind the dash without taking it apart.

ok, opened the fuse box, found an empty slot to plug the wire in. but.... how do you connect the wire? do i need something special to go in the hole with the wire? can i just jam it in there? what?

i wouldn't recommend doing that. there should be a red(power) wire and a black(ground) wire that you should be able to hook it up to on your stereo, this is a safe way and will turn on when your radio turns on, which is the only time you need it. you can also pull out the cig lighter and use the wire connections to that.

i wouldn't recommend just jabbing wires into an empty slot in the fuse box.

the two wires are there, but i want to know how to hook it up in the fuse, and i know it can be done cause plenty of people have done it, but yeah i want the safe way.

Whatever you do... Don't jam them in there... LOL.

Go up to the auto parts store and get the little adapters. They are only about a dollar. You put the wire in one end of the adapter and the other end wraps around the end of the fuse and your good to go. Just tell them what you are doing and they will know what you need. I'm not sure what they are called.

Oh yeah. Only the power wire goes onto the fuse. The ground just goes whereever you can ground it. Just find a screw or bolt that is connected to metal and you are good. Let us know how it works out.
