Don't be stupid,get a V1 and let it pay for itself the first ticket it saves you from. Between the insurance, fines, surcharges and lost time its no bargain getting a $50 detector. If that fails use a bike as a daily commutter and don't give a *** if theres a cop runnin radar or not.

my v1 works extremely well, and i dont really drive any faster just because i have it. im still aware and scoping for police. i like knowing how many sources im picking up and what directions they are coming from. really makes a difference.

V1 is the best my dad gave me one when i got my first car, always had it hardwired and im a dumass so ive goten my share of tickets and whatnot but not because the v1 failed because i was an idiot. but yes dont skimp and try and save money, get the best and as the first guy said let it pay for itself

Yeah I had the passport, and then I returned it the thing just kept going off without anything in sight, I decided to slow down and not have a radar. The slowing down part I am still working on...

i have a cobra 9975. it works pretty well except i've seen cops in the distance and the thing stil doesn't go off. i don't like it but it works very well in the city. i'm gonna buy a v1 when i'm done with fix some things on my car and mods. everytime i go far my parents are in the car so i don't really speed lol

ive had two escort passport x50's and loved them,,, you can turn off the annoying x band,.. but they both crapped out on me within a year or two..... i have a v1 now and will never go back.... its like cheaping out on your brakes.... not a good idea... you can get a escort on ebay for $250.. thats the minumum i would get...
