I got the v1...valentine1.com i believe. I also relocated my temp display to the rear view mirror and mounted the v1 remote display in the gauge cluster, looks great and police don't get angry because they don't see the radar detector.

I have a whistler also, works great. If it ever broke I would look into getting V1.

I have an Escort Passport 8500 X50, and it has saved my *** twice (out of a possible two times) this month.
I never have understood the big deal with the V1's arrows. The difference is this: " 'beeeeep' (directional arrow) "Oh dear, a cop directly to my right just lasered me going 35 over. I am going to be arrested." versus "'beeeep' "Oh dear, a cop just lasered me going 35 over. I am going to be arrested."...if you get a K, Ka or some kind of laser/POP alert, you just slow down, you don't keep on speeding and look around to verify the presence of a cop with a radar gun. If you did, you might as well spend the 300$ on a sweet wing from Pep Boys. My, those look aggressive.

And if you get lasered while you are speeding alot, you are fucked. My friend has a V1 and got lasered going 62 in a 40. The only difference it made is that she had time to stash her radar detector while the cop was pulling out of his hiding spot.

I think there is a right-up already, I know there are 2 other ppl with the same set-up I actually stole the second pic from one of them, but my set-up is the same. Neither of theirs has the temp display in the mirror and that was a HUGE pita. Very very tight fit but maybe if I can dig up some pics I'll do a tech article.
Heres the back of the temp display b4 the serious trimming began, and after the wires were extended
