I have been searching on the web and the forums for the answer but i cant seem to find it. Im sorry if it has been asnwered before and i missed it.

I have a 2001 Audi A4 1.8T quattro turbo and i would like to put in SIRIUS i would also like to keep the stock radio in im not sure if im equopped to have it in with the stock radio thow. does anyone know if it can be put into the stock radio or will i have to buy a seperate unit to get SIRIUS.

Well...you can do two things. One, find out if your unit has an AUX input (like for an external CD player) if it does your in good shape. If it doesn't, you still in good shape. I'm sure you'll have to buy the external sirius tuner + radio. It will sit on your dash, or where ever you attach it to the car. It will either be connected through the AUX input on your stock radio (which i'm not even sure if it has one, and if it does i'm not sure if you can connect anything other than the Audi CD player to it) or through and FM Modulater. This will basically take one of your FM stations and turn it into the Sirius. You then control the sirius through the sirius radio. If you can get it through the Aux input that will yield the best quality. However, if you want sirius, you will probably have to use the FM modulater, which will sound okay/good at best.

Ahh ok i really wanted to keep the stock radio and maybe try to put in a adaptor or something to still control it threw the radio with no wires but looks like i might be out of luck taking it to a audio store soon to see what my options are thanks for the info
