Default Radio display flickering

Lately my symphony 2's display has been been kind of flickering at night when I'm at a stop...it goes dim then bright then dim then bright.

Any ideas before I take it to the dealer?

Nope...nothing that would be drawing too much juice. Also, it's just the radio that's doing this, not the lights for the climate control or anything.

Hmmm, are you the first owner of the car? perhaps the previous ower rewired something back there that is faulty now. Try checking back there to make sure everything is in order

The radio has a light sensor that adjusts the light output of the radio based on the light input to the sensor. The snesor is a small circular dot on the face of the radio(there may be two of them). I have a feeling this is malfunctioning. You can try covering it with your finger while it is malfunctioning. That should put it in the bright mode. You may also want to try cleaning it. It may just be dirty. If covering it and cleaning it dont help youll probably need a new radio.
