Default Radio fading in & out after Window Regulator repair

I have a 2004 A4 3.0L avant, and I had my window regulator in the driver's side front replaced last week.

I noticed the radio is fading in and out as I drive like someone turning up and down the volume continuously & quickly. I'm thinking that maybe the speaker wires were not connected properly when the repair shop replaced the door panel. Of course if it's just a wire they forgot to connect or loose in the door, then they won't charge me, but if it's not and it's something unrelated, then they want to charge me 2 hours of labor.

I don't trust mechanics on the most part so I could take it there and they could tell me it's unrelated and just want to charge me.

Any suggestions what to do? Maybe it's not even the door panel speaker wires, I don't know, but the stereo was working perfectly prior to them replacing the regulator. Does it sound like just a loose door speaker wire or something?

Thanks for any advice...

Anyone have any idea what would be causing the radio to fade in and out like that? Thanks.

Default Any solution

Afternoon,

Looking to see if you had any solution to this problem as I've just encountered the same with my 2004 A3.

Cheers.

Hi...no, no one responded and it's still doing that. Did you have a window regulator replaced too and now it's doing that?

luckily it's my wife's car, cuz it would drive me nuts. hate that sound.

I have not heard of this before. I am going to take a shot in the dark here. Have you checked if the speed sensitive volume setting has been set to high? Not sure if the battery was disconnected to replace the regulator and that might have caused the setting to be changed.
