Default radio fuse kept blowing....

I have a 98 cab. The radio quit one day and went I went to replace the fuse it blew, then another, and another. So I left it for a few weeks and just drove the car. I went to fix it and now I'm in deep. I disassembled the dash and started testing wires. All were grounding out. One of the ignition key wires was burnt up and exposed, so I taped it up and still, all grounding. While battery disconnected, I tested the positive leads to ground on the battery, the one directly to the starter had connectivity to ground, but not as much as the smaller one that I assumes goes to the alternator and then fuse box/computer (I have no wiring diagram yet). So, I pulled all fuses and it stopped some of the short under the dash... radio, etc... but not the burnt wire or the yellow and black wire coming off the ignition key switch, so I started to trace.... I check the headlights and they are not shorting to ground anymore (fuses pulled). So, I'm guessing that the short is prefuse box, yet still at the ignition key. Am I going to have to rip stuff apart to get to the hidden computer and test from there or does someone have a suggestion or heard of this. It just blows my mind that every thing functioned except the stuff on the radio fuse which kept blowing.... I would of thought other stuff like the windows, heater blower, wipers...etc.. would of blown too.

HELP!
