03 A4 1.8T... Audi Symphony w/ in dash 6 disc changer. my radio will go out for no particular reason. CD/radio it doesnt matter what is playing.... weather is not an issue either. the problem started last winter which i thought was because it was very, very cold. but as the weather got better the problem did not, it got worse. most days it does not work... (lights are on, cd is playing but there is no sound). lately it has been playing. most times it will play and them after about 20-30 min it will cut out and then come back on at random times and then go off just as random. also, i was told by someone that if i change the this radio with a "store" bought radio i will have to replace all the speakers as well???? does that sound right?

any suggestions with a fix or do i have to replace it?

 

kinda true u dont have to replace the speakers they sell a harness to bypass the factory amps which allows you to replace ur headunit but id ont recomend it ull lose alot of sound quality look for a replacment on ebay for what you got im in the same situation, except mine only plays certain speakers at diff times the radios short out easy for some odd reason
