I replaced my battery today on my 2001 audi A6 what kind of tool do i need to remove the radio and where can i find it? Would i be able to get the code for it bygetting the serial# off the radio? Its in safe mode.

 

You can find them at the dealer for about 30 bucks, or you can get a complete set from MAC tools for like 80 bucks.

I have a 2001 Audi A6 2.7T. My radio is a Symphony and the repair shop disconnecte the radio for service. I have the code but am unable to find my radio book so that I can reset the radio out of Safe mode. Can anyone assist me with the proper sequence to get the dario out of sare mode.

I think you have to press AS and RDS together for a second then the numbers should show up.
If that doesn't work try FM2 and RDS together.
