Do European versions of the A4 come standard with more Horsepower than the North American versions?

 

i know there is a turbo and non turbo version of the 1.8 available... im not sure about the horsepower

 

more than likely, every other manufacturer seems to give their cars more power in europe.

 

its that damned autobahn.... we need an autobahn here in the states connecting the east and west coast.. then we would have reason for more factory race cars, and less police

I think chip tuning companies work more closely with euro dealers than in the states. I have heard that the stock tip trannies in europe are not as sloshy and they were tuned down to shift slower for the US. That may be a myth, but them damn europeans never cease to amaze me.
When driving in europe on a road like the autobahn, it would be considered risky or unsafeto have a slow dog performer like our stock 1.8t's. Its like putting grandma behind the wheel on any given road in the US.
