Rattling noise when accelerating A4 2.8 1999
So I have a A4 2.8 quattro 1999 and the car has been running fine but i have noticed a rattiling noise when i accelerate and its starting to drive me crazy. The rattle can really only be heard when the windows are down but is definatly noticable from the outside. It seems to make the noise even when the car is in nutral when you give it some gas. If i am shifting gears at higher rpms the noise is much more noticiable compared to short shifting.
If anyone can give me some ideas on what it might be that would be awesome because i dont have the time or money to take it into the shop to have it looked at.
