Default Read the DV thread, still have a couple questions.

Most likely going with a chip/injector ecu mod in the next month. I have this laying around from a buddy that took it off when he sold his Jetta. From what I've read, this will work well on my car, but at the risk of being flammed and called a ricer I want something that makes the whistle sound vs. the loud rush of air. Any suggestions or comments or links to sound files of different valves? If I do put the below on my car in the mean time, should I crank the spring the whole way do, 1/2 in the middle, or uncompressed as much as possible to start?
Dual Port
Part Number: FG-BOV-KTDP20 (20mm), FG-BOV-KTDP25 (25mm)

Dual Port vents both to the atmosphere and back into the air intake. Dual ports with sequantial timing allow quieter operation during normal driving, while getting all the benefits of a Supersonic BOV under race conditions.
Available in 25 and 20mm outlets.

you tube has tons of vids you can listen too. You want the valve as soft as possible while still holding all the pressure you are running

So a boost gauge is probably helpful to "tune" the DV?

Anyone else with suggestions or places to look for DV's with varying sounds such as the whistle instead of the rush of air?

i have the forge 007p and im just lettin you know that it sounds like a rush of air. but i think the forge splitter makes more of the whistle sound, i believe you can tune it to either BOV or DV, so its your choice on the noise it makes, someone correct me if im wrong.

listened to a bunch...hard to tell what is safe for my car. Have to do a little more research I guess, people are telling me my B6 will compensate for running rich if I use a BOV after a day or two of driving it?

Just want the whistle noise instead of the air rush

yup your MAP sensor calculates the air again after the dv/bov so it will also recalculate the amount of fuel your engine is adding, therefore its perfectly safe
