Default Is it really worth it??

Ok I have a 2000 1.8T Quattro Manual. I have been trying to decide whether I should upgrade it just with a chip, K04 maybe, or just not at all.
The reason I am uncertain is that I have around 135k miles on the clock and I want the car to last at least another 2 years.

Do you think its worth modding or just wait till I get my next audi?

yeah man just go for it, as long as all the maitnence has been done. timing belt and what not. also you might want to get a compression test and if all is good then your good to go, it will last for a while

Yeah, everything is done (well I gotta change my front CV boots this weekend).
Other than that, the car is in tip top shape.
I just know the more I power I push, The quicker the engine and parts "age" or "wear"
I really would like the extra power though, I need to shut my friend's corrado up! haha

definitely do it. david9999 chipped his around 100k and is now almost at 200k with no probs, and arif went BT somewhere around your mileage. Dont go k04 tho, either chip it or get a gtrs or gt28rs, depending on how deep your pockets are

+1......... the reason not to go ko4 is that you are going to only get about 25 hp over tunning for about double the price.......

and for a little more than double the price you can go bt

what can I say, you guys have convinced me, I am going to look into a GIAC chip, If I got BT can I get my software upgraded pretty easily? And is it neccessary to install a boost guage or just novelty?

Thanks guys
