Default Rear Defrost Probs in Avant

I have a 99.5 A4 Avant and i have problems defrosting the back window. I turn it on and the top quarter defrost in like less than 1min but the bottom part with all the defrost lines dont do anything at all ?
Winter is near and it was snowing today and i couldnt really see out of my back window except for the top quarter
What can i do ?

I have tried to turn the temp down to like 70 or below sometimes and it doesnt seem to work.

Look closely at the lines in the hatch glass. Most likly they are damaged. If they are you can try a repair kit.

What part of the lines (should i be looking ?)

Also i have been having a problem with the back wiper fluid does not reach nore come out to clean the back. Is there a seperate bottle that hold fluid or might the lines be frozen or i may just need a new pump ?

Look at all off the lines that arent working. From right to left and all the verticle connecting lines. If i remember correctly the rear washer uses the same pump as the windshield washer so the problem isnt the switch or the motor if the winsheild wipers work. Theres a couple common places to check for leaks. Sometimes the hoses break where they go between the body and the hatch. Check in those boots. Also sometimes they leak inside the rear hatch area. The third place to look is in the passenger near the pedals. The hose seperates underneeth the dead pedal. You need to pull up the carpet in the area to check. Youll have to remove the sill plate to get the carpet up.
