Anybody know if theres a way to make them both work i remember i took out the bulb holder from my tail light and there was a bulb missing where the right foglight would be.

they're already wired for fogs on both sides, you just have to drill out the hole in the pass. side taillight and pop in a bulb. i did it because people kept telling me i have a taillight out.

Mine's not wired on the right side. There IS a knockout in the plastic of the light itself, but no harness to plug into it.

I brought this subject up, myself, a week or so ago, as a cop stopped me to tell me I had a light out. I pulled the left light out to look like there was not supposed to be a light in that position, either side, got a "Burnt bulb" computer warning.

In the US, this can be a problem, as any cop can use this as an excuse to stop you and ask to search your car, or ticket you for no seat belt, or whatever.

Best you carry your Owner's Manual, as it is supposed to specify there is no Right side light, the car is within Manufacturer's and so, American law's , specifications. If you have no manual, as I did not, get a copy and print that page.

One answer above has it right, you see 2 bright lights, some one is braking, as you'd know from years ago when the brake light switch on Fords, in particular, slid back in their mounts and the rear lights were always lit. Very common, for those 5 cent parts.

Cheers,

George

wow yuikio you are making quite the generalization there, I do agree with some of your thoughts but you cant put that on all americans
I know, I was being funny. Sorry that it didn't come through. It is true, though, that plenty of people here put more emphasis on what they can get done while driving than driving safely.

And I still think that in America, where only European cars have one rear fog light, it looks like a broken brake light rather than a thoughtful design parameter.

Whatever. Sorry if I offended anyone.
