Default Rear Pads and Rotors

Whats up guys? Im new to the site but i have been reading lots of the threads since i have joined. All u guys have good info!!

I also try to see if i found a previous thread about this topic.

My question is i have an 03 A4 Quattro 1.8 and i need to change the rear rotors and pads but i dont know the size of the rear rotor. I have called audi and they said "we dont have a size, thats only if u go aftermarket u need a size". I want to know is there anywhere i can buy them for a good price. and what size are they??

Do any of u guys have a personal Preference in company and in type of rotoror pad??

Thanks in advance.

Check out ecstuning for pads and rotors. Not sure about the diameter. Just go with the OEM rotors and some mintex or PBR pads.

Thanks man!

I went to ecs and even for OEM it still asked for size 245 or 255mm. Would it matter is i have a 245 and purchase a 255??

I assume it would matter for the caliper to clear the wheels. Have you tried your manual?

it probably wouldnt be a matter of the wheels clearing, more of the calipers fitting

but yea +1 for oem rotors and mintex pads, most of the braking power comes from the front anyway

I just went through tha manual there is nothing in there. I have to go to the Audi dealer tomorrow to buy a fuel filter so i will just give my vin # and HOPEFULLY they will give me the size. U know Audi dealer ships are A-holes when it comes to all that cause they want u to bring them ur car. Thanks Guys

Take off your rear wheel. The size will be stamped on the rotor.
