My GF has an 03 A4 and its a daily driver nothing special no real mods. I am a subaru guy so when it comes to Audi's I am semi-clueless. The orange/yellow brake pad indicator light went off in the car telling us we have 20% meat left on the pads. Not sure if they are fronts or rears but I am just prob gonna replace both. The front rotors look fine but the rears are grooved and pretty beat up. Car is a 1.8T by the way.

I would like to know what pads are reccomended for the fronts and rears? Are ceramics stock? Should I just pick up a set of ceramics from a connection I have at carquest and a set of blanks for the rotors?

go to a local autoparts store and pick up their ceramic pads and get the zimmerman rotors

 

The indicator is for front pads. There is no sensor at the rear. Also, I will go with Audi original pads to avoid squeak noise and massive brake dust in the future. (Yeah... ask me how I know it... I have replaced pads 3 times in the past 2 years because the loud squeak noise).
