Default Rear Pass side wheel slightly angled towards left

Guys,

I just found out that my REAR passenger side wheel is slightly at an angle steered towards left

I mean as if it is very slightly steered towards left....anyidea what it is ......the tire thread wear is a bit unusual

no.... I dont see any hit on the rim or any rim damage or bent rim

I slightly moved the car and saw whether its rim bent.... no its not its always slightly steered towards left
as if something in the suspension is slightly steered towards the left...I will open the rim today and see if I can see some thing

Yes... I have a very slight vibration at 80 mph not very perceptible.... but its there

This was found after a long drive as my driver side rear tire has the outer edge slightly rubbed up

ALL OTHER THREE WHEELS LOOK FINE EXCEPT THE PASS SIDE REAR

any advice is appreciated..... Its a 1999 A4 FWD 1.8T

You probably can adjust it on your own but without a proper setup, specs to align the car to and any way to know how much of an adjustment you are making it is recommended that you take it to an alignment shop.

I'd skip using the dealership as I requested they check my alighment and they said it was fine. My rear passenger side wheel kept on rubbing the fender and I finally took it to an independant shop and they said my camber was off by -0.7 degrees... that is a lot! When it was corrected my car also sat 1/4" lower than before.

I would suggest that you take it to one that has a Hunter unit or a similar laser equipped computer alignment unit.

You should be able to locate a good front end shop using:

Did the alignment today....To my surpise the rear was in perfect shape

The only spec thats outtt is left front camber is -1.4, It is slightly out of specs.... (specs are -1.0 and range -0.2)

Do I need to worry..... is this acceptable for normal driving...
The mechanic said that he did his best to get it as close as but no change.

wheel specialists..... Please advice..... no mods completly stock sport suspension

If you're happy with the way the steering feels, and
the tires wear evenly you're good.

If you are dead stock then there is no reason for you to have the camber at -1.4 degrees.

What would the extra camber do? It will wear out the inside of your tire faster and alter the thrust angle of the car.

I suggest that you have someone else take a look at the car as the rear wheels are fully adjustable and the mechanic could have dialled adjusted the amount of camber you have on that rear wheel.

My right was: -1.9 and left -1.2 and there was a big difference in handling and in height when the left was adjusted to -1.9 as well.

My left front camber was also set slightly out of spec.

Min. Nominal Max. Actual
-1.00 -0.58 -0.17 -1.2

You need to have a 4 wheel alignment done. They should adjust the toe on the wheel to within spec. You cannot do it on your won without the proper tools and knowledge. I have seen write-ups on how to do it, It is way to involved. It would take me like days to build all the pieces you need to do it properly, and do it, I dont have that kind of time.
