Default Rear Tail Light Bulbs

Ok, I've got a stupid question. But, hell - I always have weird questions for yall.

My rear left brake light is faded red in color in comparison to all of my other brake lights. I noticed this last night when my girlfriend was driving my car and I was following her in a friends 5sp. Do you think the previous owner put the wrong bulb in there or something? It's only the rear left brake light.

Any suggestions on this and where I can get some bulbs? I imagine the bulbs can't be hard to replace...

I checked it out and there is a 12V 5W bulb in there. Maybe the bulb is deteriorating and needs replacing. I noticed that there wasn't a bulb in the very top where my rear fog light belongs. Should I just swing by advance auto and pick a new bulb up? Will they even have the right bulbs for me there?

Thank you for your help!
