Default Recently moved to Texas

Hello!

I recently moved to Austin Texas and trying to find out some details as far as getting my car registered. The policy here is way different from where I'm from. Does anyone know if the Audi dealership / service in Austin provides a vehicle safety inspection? What insurance company has the best rates / service here? Any other useful info will be greatly appreciated. ^_^ Thanks!

When I looked up the details, it states that I have 2 months to change my registrations to Texas after I move and work here. It further states that I need to have my car insured here in Texas, then have a vehicle safety inspection done, then register a Texas licence plate, and then get a Texas license in this order. Is this true?
