Hey all,
Just recently purchased and Audi A4 1.8T first owner, (old man) with 54,000 miles. I paid $10,900, the car is in great condition. fully loaded. Good deal or what?

So now i'm looking for upgrades.....I want the performance without killing gas mileage too much. I see those chips on ebay but i don't trust them. Any suggestions on upgrading this bad boy will be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey welcome to the forums! You should NEVER trust the chips you see on Ebay. They are all scams! Two of the most popular chip tuners are APR and GIAC. They both offer great chips for the 1.8t engine. Both of the chips will actually give you better gas mileage if you were to drive the cars the same. But everyone tends to drive the cars harder after chipping right! Don't forget to replace your diverter valve when chipping as your old one may not be able to handle the increased boost pressure. If you have more questions try searching first, as it's all be covered before.

 

Well welcome to the forums...Well i believe you got a really good deal because my buddy bought a 97 A4 1.8t with 98 000 miles for $ 9000...I guess you got a really good deal question about performance haha i can't help you the turbos because mine is v6 and i need $1000 to go until i get $6000 and buy a supercharger...hopefully the others with 1.8t will help you better than me =P....Good luck and Audis are nice cars
