michelin is not overrated. i've got pilot sports on mine and i absolutely love them. they cost a little extra but they are a really good tire.

 

I have the Pilot Exalto A/S and so far, have been quite pleased. They are very quiet and they handled well in the snow this winter.

 

Thanks everyone for your advise. I'm going to order the tires early this coming week...any last minute advise. Based on some of your reviews and what I gather from my on-line research I'm still leaning between the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S and the Yokohama Advan S4. The Michelins are a bit pricier;I wouldn't mind spending a little extra if it's justified. Any thoughts? Tire rack has lots of reviews on these tires but I wanted to hear the opinion of A4 owners. Thanks again for your advice.

 

I don't know if you live in an area that gets alot of snow, but I've used Falken ZE-512's for a couple years on my Acura. And as soon as the stock Pirellis wear out on my Audi, I'll replace them with the same. They're EXCELLENT rain tires--high performance to be exact. And the only HP rain tires tested by Consumer Reports(consumerreports.org) to work decently in snow. They're cheap (start at $45/tire depending on size), quiet, durable, and, like I said great in rain, which works out well in FL!

 

I work at Tire Kingdom and have to say that the best bang for the buck is the General Exclaim UHP from Tire Rack I install them all the time. (Also rated #1 on Tire Rack's website) I have 225/40/18's and love them the traction is great. Just read the reviews like the poster above said.
