Redline?

Redline?
Okay, i got my APR chip today, and i heard that the redline should be 7100 RPM. Well, it doesnt go above about 6800. I know, i shouldnt be up there anyway, but i was.
It also makes a noise at high RPM, like the bubbling noise exaust makes when engine breaking, but it makes this noise while RPM's are up there.
After thought, i came to my conclusion that i may be floating my valves, (i dont nknow much about this on new car, mainly becuase the car i work on all the time is a 68 mustang). Can anyone confirm or deny what ive said? What i initially thought it was was just the computer cutting the fuel at redline, which i assume that is how AUDI governs the engine, and now by killing random sparkplugs giving the wellknown govenor noise.
Can someone please help?

RE: Redline?
1st. Make your signature smaller
2nd. If you just got chipped it may be adapting, and im pretty sure the rev limiter is only taken off on 2nd gear and up, so in first gear you may not see anything past stock redline. But give it some time.
