Default relay question

Can anybody tell me where the rad. fan relay is on a 97' A4Q 2.8
and how may sensors or switches go with the cooling system (some thing that would kick on the electric fan)
Thanks

Default RE: relay question

Are you sure that the fan is working and that the temperature sensor is working before you replace the relay?

here's a writeup for replacing your coolant temp sensor......40 bucks at the dealership....or ~10 bucks from ECStuning.com

EDIT: there was a similar problem posted yesterday i believe....it may very possibly be your thermostat...

Most likely the fan is burned out. ON my year, the fan only runs if the AC is on.

But first check the fan fuse. On my year, there is a 40 amp fuse behind the driver's side knee bolster. Your's may be located elsewhere. Check and see if it is blown and replace. If the fan then starts when the AC is on, but dies and blows the fuse, you need a replacement fan.
